How do I reserve a time?

You call us on our reservation number and speak to our staff. They can tell you what times and are available.

Introduction lesson - what it's?

If you have never skied with us before, you will need to have an introduction lesson first. This session is mandatory to everyone who skis with us so that we can correctly grade your proficiency in an attempt to ensure that in future sessions you are skiing with people at a similar ability to you.

During this lesson, you will be explained which boots you need, how to fit your ski’s and how to clean. You will also get to know our location, viewing area, the washrooms and the restaurant for example.

You will ski about ~20-22 minutes in total, just slightly less then the normal 3 x 10 or 2 x 15 minutes in any normal lesson.

How does it work?

Our slopes are made with an Astroturf carpet and work in a similar motion to a treadmill. We can change the height and speed of the slope so it’s tailored to the ability of the skiers/ boarders on the slope at the time. There is a support bar at the front. At the bottom of the slope we have a big mirror so you can watch your technique and get real time feedback. For more info see hour How It Works page.

Is an instructor included in the price of the session? And equipment?

All our sessions come with a fully qualified instructor. This ensures safe operation of the slopes at all times and the best experience in the centre. If you do not have any equipment, we will provide everything you need to start to ski!

How long is the session?

You will be in the centre for about an hour, and you will be on the slope for approximately 30 minutes. This is split up into 2 x 15 min blocks, or 3 x 10 min blocks, so you get a much needed rest in between. We would ask you to arrive 15 mins before your allocated time so we can fit you with boots and skis.

How many people will be on the slope at one time?

Our slopes in Vilnius can take 6 people per hour and 3 people on the slope at any one time. For birthday parties, demonstrations and corporate events we can have more than this on the slopes.

If you want to have the slope to yourself, then see our Private Lesson products in the price list, you will then guaranteed be alone on the slope during your lesson.

Cancellation fee

48 hours or more before the start of a session - 0%, 24 hours or more before the start of the session - 50%, Less than 24 hours before the start of a session - 100%.

What do I need to bring with me and what should I wear?

Please wear a pair of long socks, sportive/tracksuit bottoms or leggings, and a long sleeved t-shirt. No specialist ski gear is required. We advise you to wear something comfortable and loose fitting.

Can I bring my own skis and boots?

You are very welcome to bring your own boots but we ask that you use our skis (normal alpine ski’s) as they have been specially prepared for use on our slopes.

From what age can I bring my child?

It depends very much on the child. Our tracks are quite difficult to ski on, and it is important the the student has full control and a little “power” in his or her legs to enjoy the lesson here. This does not mean that your child cannot enjoy this fantastic sport on snow of course!

For exclusive and private family ski sessions we will take your little ones as young as 5.

For normal ski lessons the minimum age is 6.

For snowboarding lessons the minimum age is 16 (or those that are over 140 cm.).

How similar is it to snow?

The surface is made up of a revolving Astroturf carpet. Of course snow comes in many forms and weights depending upon the time of year and the particular conditions on the day. We think our carpets are similar to freshly prepared surface powder, some 15cm deep, demanding an active approach to managing the conditions.

The technique you will be taught is exactly the same as that you will use on snow!! The only difference is that our slope is less forgiving and will therefore demand perfect technique which in turn will prepare you better for the real thing!

Is there somewhere I can watch?

Yes! We have an area behind each slope where the skiers and guest can wait and chill-out during the lesson.

But also; We also have 3 large private rooms/area’s suited for 6-8 people (each) on the 2nd floor within he ski-area which offer you a great view on the sloped and where you can enjoy some privacy, food and drinks!

How long in advance do I need to book?

We advise you book a week in advance during our quieter Summer season, and two weeks in advance in our Winter season. Weekends and evenings are naturally busier so we recommend booking far in advance to get the times and availability you’d like.

Ski pricing for kids

Ski pricing for kids are the same how for adults:

I WOULD LIKE TO SKI, AND MY FRIEND WOULD LIKE TO TRYTHE SNOWBOARD AT THE SAME TIME, is that possible?

We can only have skiers OR snowboarders during one hour session. Both disciplines need a different approach and they practice differently. For example, skiers use the whole track, from top to bottom, where Snowboarders use mostly the width of the track. Also, our instructors that are always with you at or on the track can only wear 1 pair of boots, so we cannot teach 2 different diciplines at the same time.

I am a completely new skiers/snowboarder, I have never skied/snowboarded before, how many lesson would it take to learn how to ski?

A question we hear a lot, of course. We like to compare it to swimming lessons, how many lessons did it take to learn that skill? It is absolutely trainable, just one person learns it more quickly then the other. But, to give a example; We believe that the absolute basic skills set is reachable for all after about 8-10 lessons with us. So, with a course of 8 lessons, it would take about 4 weeks, if you have lessons twice a week.

My child is 5, but has already skied of the slopes on snow, can he/she still come?

Our slopes are somewhat different, very technical and whereas the technique is the same as on the snow it is quite physically difficult for beginners to ski on our slopes. So, it depends on every child if he/she is able to ski with us. Our experience has lead us to put in a minimum age, as younger children take up a lot of the attention of the instructor during the lesson, which is unfair for the other, more older children that want to progress as well.

So, short answer; If you would like to give your child a try anyhow, you can opt to reserve 3 places for your child, for the price of 3 students. Your child will be alone and can get the 100% attention of the instructor during that session.

I already know how to ski, why do I need this?

Great! Most people are “self-taught” and get off the slopes without trouble :)

We offer several advantages to these clients:

  • “Be prepared, get ready”

After spending 350 days per year sitting behind your desk, you might want to consider using a few evenings to train the muscles you will be using going down the slopes. Let us train your core fitness, it will lower your “2nd day muscle pain” and lowers risks on accidents.

  • „Get better“

As said, more than half our clients are "self-taught“ and could use some tips of the pro‘s. thats what we do, we start wiht basics, to evaluate your skill level, set you up for lessons with people of your skill, and then give you the chance to learn proper technique‘s to help you ski down the mountains more easily and safe. It will improve your skiing and your holiday.
